1. Good News: Where the Intel is Good

Celebrating Freedom

  • The communist grip on China has been severely weakened, with the economic effects of the tariffs being the proverbial final straw. Xi's leadership position is losing power to an emerging internal faction composed of reformists and moderates. Congratulations, President Trump. You defeated Communist China without a shooting war. Will The People's Republic of California be next?

  • As reported by NRA-ILA, "For the second year in a row, gun control advocates have lost a unanimous decision at the U.S. Supreme Court. This time the issue was whether Mexico, aided by anti-gun activists stateside, could sue American gun manufacturers for the violence Mexican drug cartels have committed with illegally obtained firearms. The Court shot down Mexico’s complaint in a rare 9-0 ruling, written by Barack Obama appointee Justice Elena Kagan. The opinion reinforced the continued vitality of the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA), a statute Congress passed to block suits like this that seek to use the courts to impose gun control rejected by elected legislatures. The case, Smith & Wesson Brands v. Estados Unidos Mexicanos, was decided June 5."

Make America Healthy Again is Working

  • RFK removed all 17 members of the CDC Advisory Committee for Immunization Practices. Considering how horrible that committee's performance was during the Covid scam, this was a great move. With a fresh slate of people who are not beholden to Big Pharma and who presumably have both a brain and a conscience, The Centers for Disinformation and Censorship will at least have a decent chance of at least getting something right. For an agency that has spent years getting nothing right, this would be a momentous improvement. Kennedy was quoted as saying, "A clean sweep is necessary to reestablish public confidence in vaccine science." That was generous of him, since the entire vaccine ideology is built on faith not science. Watching this video of that committee in a meeting will remove all doubt this was a good decision: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tegyXGiQjsc

  • Since removing the "League of Idiots" that composed the CDC Advisory Committee for Immunization Practices, RFK has appointed a new, much smaller, actually ethical team. It includes people such as Dr. Robert Malone, a towering intellect with 5 mRNA patents. Dr. Malone has been abused to the nth degree for taking a fact-based, compassionate stand against the poison jab mandates and for medical freedom. IMO, he deserves the Medal of Freedom. But that medal lost all meaning when Brainless awarded it to such criminals as Hillary Clinton. Maybe one awarded by a non-senile, non-communist POTUS would have meaning.

  • RFK has ordered a review of baby formula. I have already reviewed this (typically) disease-causing product in this very newsletter. One famous brand, however, is way ahead of the pack. Gerber uses non-GMO products (which means non-glyphosate) and doesn't add salt, sweeteners, artificial colors, or artificial flavors. There may be other brands that similarly don't package up poison and sell it as food for babies. Always check the label. Very carefully.

The fact that baby food is highly processed can be disregarded in this context. That is the point of making baby food. It's highly processed in the sense that it's made into a puree. This is very different from being highly processed by dint of excessive overheating (which, in the case of Gerber's would render it odorless but it's not) and the addition of various chemicals nobody can pronounce. This kind of processing is why we have blenders and countertop food processors. Say you want to give your baby a banana. You would need to puree it, first. Gerber's already does this for you. Similarly, you might puree food for an elderly cat or dog.

  • As Reported in 1440 Digest, "Kraft Heinz said yesterday it will remove all artificial food, drug, and cosmetic dyes from its US products by the end of 2027, becoming the first major food company to commit to the shift since the Food and Drug Administration announced plans to phase out synthetic food colorings."

Make America Rich Again is Working

  • Amazon came to the rescue of millions of small businesses after Google adopted its "Do more evil" philosophy and strongly skewed its "search engine" to disfavor or hide those businesses. Now Amazon is again stepping up. This time, as reported in the Epoch Times, "Amazon is making what Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro said Monday is the largest private-sector investment in state history, with a $20 billion commitment to build two data center campuses to boost its artificial intelligence and cloud computing capabilities—and help solidify America’s technological edge over strategic rivals such as China."

  • As reported in the Epoch Times, "John Deere plans to invest $20 billion in U.S. manufacturing over the next 10 years."

  • And Micron Technology is adding another $30 billion right away into our semiconductor industry.

  • Micron Technology is yet another chipmaker making those chips here for a change. The Brainless administration killed millions (not merely thousands) of small businesses during the Communist Occupation. Large businesses, such as chipmakers, did not even consider expanding into the USA. And now look. The idiot "protestors" who are killing people and burning cars need to wake up and smell the coffee!

  • General Motors announced that they will be investing $4 billion into U.S. manufacturing plants, including in Kansas City, Kansas. The libtards keep harping on this idea that "Trump and his billionaire cronies" are ravaging the country. Nothing can be further from the truth. In this particular example, Kansas City, Kansas is in dirt-poor Wyandotte County. It's a place that needs good jobs, and Trump has delivered!

  • As reported in Politibrawl, "Blue-collar workers have seen nearly 2% real wage growth in Trump's first five months of his second term, representing the largest increase for any administration in nearly 60 years and a dramatic reversal from the 1.7% decline they experienced under Biden when inflation outpaced earnings." According to several other sourcee, analysts credit much of this to tightening our borders. Millions of illegal aliens have been deported since Liberation Day, and those "under the table" low-wage, no Workman's Comp jobs they held are now going to US citizens. This is driving up the cost of labor, meaning blue collar workers aren't being cheated the way they were only six months ago.

  • As reported in Blabber Buzz, "Trump’s policy is also boosting the economy by encouraging companies to invest in high-tech productivity tools, leading to higher profits for investors and increased wages for Americans. On June 6, knlvradio.com reported that the large JBS meatpacking firm had agreed to a deal providing pay raises, paid sick leave, and a pension plan to 26,000 meatpacking workers."

Sundry News

  • Fake Doctor Anthony Fauci almost certainly got a fake pardon. Even if his pardon somehow survives a legitimacy challenge, he can be extradited to stand trial in dozens of other countries, he can be sued in civil court, and he can be prosecuted by any of our 50 Attorneys General. The evidence against this psychopath continues to be uncovered. Here's an interesting report: http://dlvr.it/TLFzvw

  • Vivek accurately compares Gavin "Gruesome Newsom" to George Wallace: https://twitter.com/i/status/1932604515351679160.

  • "One of the world’s biggest darknet marketplaces for fentanyl and other drugs, Archetyp, has been taken down by German police, as part of Operation Deep Sentinel. Its alleged creator and administrator has been arrested in Spain." -- Epoch Times

  • New York Governor Hochul, who infamously wanted to round up those who refused to be medically experimented on and put us in concentration camps, has now come out and said she supports President Trump in exporting illegal aliens. Just not the ones who are illegally holding jobs that American citizens should be holding. Employers of illegals don't pay payroll taxes or Workman's Comp, so the dishonest ones will toss American citizens to the curb in favor of screwing over illegal aliens of these benefits. It's a partial win, at least the removal of the violent ones engaged in illicit trades such as human trafficking and drug dealing will have her backing. Once they are gone, pressure can be put on this immoral governor to free up those American jobs.

  • The aforementioned Governor Hochul had all charges dropped against Comptroller Brad Lander for his assault on ICE agents. That was pretty stupid, and it is going to backfire on her. Lander has committed multiple felonies and those are federal ones. She cannot protect him from federal charges, only from state ones. Isn't it something that in New York you can assault federal employees and not be charged with a felony, but you can be charged with a felony if you borrow from a bank and pay it all back with interest?

Wearing Thin Update

When the communists were waging war against the American people via the clot shot propaganda program and mandates, Brainless made threats to the unvaxxed and said, "Our patience is wearing thin." When Iran waged war against Israel (starting with the funded the 07 October massacre) Brainless did nothing.

Less than six months after Liberation Day, Israel (with the help of the USA) has pretty much disabled Iran's war capabilities and is demanding an unconditional surrender. President Trump told Iran, "Our patience is wearing thin."

What a stark difference in the use of threats. Brainless against the American people, Trump against an oppressive, violent regime that wants to erase Israel from the earth.

"Democrat" Party Update

  • The "Democrat" Party has long been the Party of Crime. Ever since the suicide of George Floyd, however, they have gone with extreme and prolonged violence as a core practice. Not all Democrats approve. Senator Fetterman, for example, recently posted, "I unapologetically stand for free speech, peaceful demonstrations, and immigration—but this is not that. This is anarchy and true chaos. My party loses the moral high ground when we refuse to condemn setting cars on fire, destroying buildings, and assaulting law enforcement."

  • The "Democrats" are still spewing the fiction that George Floyd was somehow murdered by police officers, despite being medically beyond saving by the time he approached those officers for help. And there are people ignorant enough to believe it, which leads to even more violence as these same ignoramuses are also stupid enough to believe that violent and destructive behavior will somehow improve society. These same stupid ignoramuses were silent when the Brainless administration let 21 million illegals flow across our border with their fentanyl.

  • A huge reason the "Democrats" are pushing back against dismantling the Department of (dis)Education is they need stupid ignoramuses who lack both intellectual curiosity and basic reasoning power to buy their BS and vote for them. At this point, after all the damage they have done and lies they have told, those are the only people who will vote for them. The only exception is they also get votes from otherwise healthy people who suffer from Trump Derangement Syndrome, a mental impairment caused by exposure to a toxin called "CNN". Imagine if we restored education and got rid of CNN--there would be no Democrat Party! At least not the sham we see today.

  • Finally! An honest Democrat! https://x.com/PapiTrumpo/status/1932624550035878205

Commie Update

This section is really an extension of the one that precedes it. The "Democrat" party has been full commie for a while, now.

  • The communists are very upset that Title IX is being honored, again. Here is their vision for what girls should compete against in the upcoming Olympics:
    https://x.com/Jnet_margarita/status/1931387879088963671?t=-ZmPvekwAeZ1bjlqJw4Y7g&s=03

  • The People's Republic of Commifornia continues to operate as a separate and distinct country. It ignores our Constitution, yet takes federal funds. Perhaps one way to reign in this radicalism is to withhold federal funds until Commifornia behaves as if it's part of the union. That doesn't mean subservience. It means respecting our laws, respecting the Rule of Law, and respecting individual liberties.

  • Commifornia's blatant refusal to hold fair and honest elections is at the root of the "separate country" problem. In the 2024 election, there were three non-communist candidates running for federal House seats. It looked like they were going to win. Then each of the three election offices had a "bomb scare" and closed "for public safety". When they re-opened, the communist candidates were suddenly way ahead. They have used this ruse repeatedly in other elections. This gives the PRoC power it should not have in the general legislature, as those three seats should rightfully be Republican. Instead, we sane people have a thin majority and Comrade Hakeem has far more influence than he should. In any case, fake elections have no place in a democratic republic. When the commies talk about "our democracy" they really mean THEIR kleptocracy. Nothing about their form of government is "ours" generally or democratic in any way.

  • Thanks to Gruesome Newsom and his communist coconspirators, the People's Republic of Commifornia has seen a mass exodus of residents. The Commifornia crew has sought to replace these with illegal aliens, which is why Gruesome is so resistant to enforcing our borders. With the next census, Commifornia will have significantly fewer Electoral College votes. The lack of fair elections is why people leave instead of try to reclaim their state. The communist insanity continues, which means the exodus does too.

  • The communists have had an unrelenting message of hate ever since Comrade Hillary failed to cheat enough to steal the 2020 election. The thing about hate is it doesn't just project out, it also projects back. Love is that way, too. But unlike love, hate is very damaging. The communist party has been overdosing on its own hatred for a long time. One effect it it has caused an exodus of competent people. Another effect is it has set an emotion-based narrative instead of a rational one, causing the most stupid to rise to the top. Any time a movement or organization is dominated by stupid people, it becomes a failure.

  • It's no coincidence. The commies are violent, and this is what they do to people they disagree with. We need to lock up the instigators, such as Nutcase Nancy: https://x.com/ParatooperBrady/status/1933884120683233296?t=ZRq7waaG_WgS25XXmsyQjw&s=03

  • It's not enough for the communists to spew their hatred at such "low-lifes" as conservatives, Christians, Jews, people who believe in America, respecters of our Constitution, private sector wage-earners, business owners, people who want fair elections, those who want peace not war, and other riff-raff. Now they are cannibalizing their own party, by turning their boiling cauldron of hate on each other. Instead of seeing that their ideology and behavior are repulsive to regular people, they are attacking those within their ranks who don't pass the purity test. The thing is, you have to be pretty stupid to adopt their ideology, so they are continually reducing their collective IQ. The fact that someone as stupid as Kamala or AOC can be a "leader" in their party speaks volumes. Look for continued failure, which they will try to make up for by escalating the hateful rhetoric and violence.

  • The funding for the communist party has dramatically shrunk in recent months. Several factors contribute to this, such as the stopping of illegal contribution schemes. For example, the USAID scam that resulted in millions of our tax dollars going to dubious entities that then donated back to the DSCC; this was a classic money laundering scheme and now it's gone. Also, their cranked up message of hate along with their video-contradicting lies have been turning people off to them. Hate and lies are not attractive, and yet they rely on these to attract people. Which also means they are stupid, which is yet another unattractive trait.

****The Stupidity Report****

Some Serious Stupidity to Know More About

  • "Doctor" Jerry Kruse, dean, provost, and CEO of Southern Illinois University's School of Medicine says he's fighting the "stereotype" that women have vaginas. He hasn't been fired yet, which means the the University itself is stupid. A medical degree from there should be deemed worthless.

  • The commies made Kilmar Diego Garcia their cause celebre, touting him as a wrongly accused Maryland father. Proof that Trump, et al, are all Nazis! What did they think would happen? It has happened, making them look utterly stupid. Now their hero is facing nine counts of human trafficking, evidence of which is on video. Each count carries a potential ten year sentence, which means Garcia will die in prison. Now, instead of simply deporting him we had to pay to import him back. And we have to pay for a trial. And we will have to pay for the appeals.

And we will have to pay for his prison stay. In Maryland, the cost is up to $307,000 per year. If he's in prison for 20 years, that's over $6 million. For this one scumbag. The bill for that should go to AOC and her fellow commies, since it's all their fault that WE have to pay it. He is being tried in Tennessee, and maybe that's where his prison will be. The cost of prison is far less there than in communist Maryland. It's about $34K. His chance of getting a libtard judge in TN is about zero, so at least he won't be back on the streets kidnapping more women.

  • The commies say they cannot figure out why young men are turning away from them. How stupid can they be to not see why? According to them, men are "toxic". That's enough right there to turn young men away from them. There's also the fact they have ruined our economy to make fewer opportunities and ruined our schools so that most young men (and women) are unprepared to use what few opportunities they may encounter. The commies have inflicted DEI and other woke ideologies, making workplaces hostile and threatening. How many more clues do they need?

  • Here's one reason young men turn away from the commies: Ridiculously stupid statements coming from commie icons. Whoopi "I am so oppressed" Goldberg, whose net worth is estimated to be between $5 million and $6 million, is always beating the drum about how hard it is to be black in America. Apparently, for this actress, not very hard. She has a steady gig on "The View," a show deeply mired in stupidity. In a recent episode, one of the other women was talking about how horrible it is for women in Iran and how much better it is for women in America. Goldi quipped, "Not if you're black." Which was an incredibly stupid thing to say. Especially when you are a black female multi-millionaire who made those millions acting in movies and television. And getting some plumb roles early on due in no small part to being black. Is she stupid, delusional, dishonest, or a combination of all three? Maybe she should move to Iran.

  • The law enforcement leaders are pretty stupid in Canada. Compare them to the ones in the USA: https://twitter.com/i/status/1930731359976468920

  • The Epoch Times reported on 10 June, "A federal judge in California has halted major provisions of President Donald Trump’s executive orders targeting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives and transgender-related programming, siding with LGBT advocacy groups and other nonprofits that argued the policies unlawfully restrict constitutional rights." Of course, this is a judge in a communist country making that ruling.

Under OUR Constitution, the Bill of Rights does not include a right to discriminate against people based on the fact they understand basic biology or are not a racial minority. In fact, we have two Amendments and the 1964 Civil Rights Act prohibiting this behavior. DEI restricts constitutional rights, thus it does not follow that eliminating DEI somehow restricts constitutional rights. It does follow that eliminating DEI respects those rights. As usual, the commies get everything bassackwards. That judge is a moron, too.

An Especially Corrosive Lie

The slavery and injustice lie just won't go away. Communists and white liberals use this to pretend that people who call themselves black don't fit into our society and all of them are descendants of slaves. Highly privileged people such as Whoopi Goldberg whine about how hard it is to be black in America, which is a sickening spectacle to behold. Her lies have no basis in reality, let's briefly cover why.

The United States was founded in 1776, and plantation slavery ended in 1864. So for less than 90 years, a handful of wealthy plantation owners had slaves who were imported from Africa's west coast. The slaves were very expensive and due to their lack of freedom refused to be very productive. Consequently, the economics were not there and slavery was on its way out anyhow. It ended over 100 years ago. Since then, millions of people who call themselves black or are called black by others have willingly come to the USA and stayed. Only a tiny percentage of today's blacks are descended from slaves and among those who are it's been 6 generations. That's a very long time. Slavery has no relevance to where blacks are today.

Slavery ended in 1864. My ancestors came here in the 1890s. I am a fifth generation American and far removed from working in the coal mines for almost no money as my immigrant ancestors did. You do not hear Italian Americans, who are 5% of the population compared to blacks being 13%, whining about what our ancestors went through. And, yes, we have faced discrimination. My dad's boss said to a group of my dad's coworkers, "The only good Italian is a dead Italian." That was in the mid 1970s.

One of my mentors in the early 1980s still mentors me today. He is black, and I have in all these years never heard him whine about being black. He is also very disciplined and principled. He retired from a long career at an automotive plant. He grew up in an era where he did take abuse for being black. But that was a long time ago. It's not relevant to his daily life now. For which he is thankful. He has little patience for slackers who blame their lot in life on their race.

When Ike returned from World War II, he was adamant about integrating the US Armed Forces. No longer would "negroes" be relegated to kitchen duty and treated as lesser beings. As POTUS, he pushed hard on civil rights legislation throughout the 1950s. The 1956 Civil Rights Act and the 1958 Civil Rights Act were both moderate steps forward. He had to fight a reluctant Congress that was controlled by the Democrats. Finally in 1964, a major law officially ended the stupid proposition that the Bill of Rights applies to some citizens but not to others.

I grew up in the racially tense 1960s and the less racially tense 1970s. There was tension not because this country abused black people, but because some people abused black people. And until Obama was the first Arab with a small bit of "black" heritage to be POTUS, racism was a dying thing in the USA. Hardly any detectable pulse. Nobody really cared about it anymore, except when some person behaved badly toward another due to their skin color. Under Obama, race became a very big thing, as did the myth that black people are less capable than people of other races. DEI was born, and it has been bad for everyone.

People like Whoopi Goldberg (see accompanying mini-article) and Nutcase Nancy keep stoking the flames of an imaginary race problem in this country, thereby creating racism where it did not previously exist. This sometimes drives friends apart. When the rhetoric got especially heated after George Floyd's suicide by meth and fentanyl, some friends who happened to be black dropped me with no explanation. We had never discussed race, and now to them I am a racist and an oppressor simply because I'm not as dark-skinned as they are. They discovered that, despite having successful careers and many achievements, they are oppressed. Because Nancy Pelosi said so.

Yes, if you behave like someone from the 'hood, you will be looked down upon and denied opportunity. But that is because of your character, not the color of your skin. America is not a racist country. Not for several decades, now. Racist people are still among us, as are grifters, rapists, drug dealers, and IRS agents. This does not mean we are a country of racists or a country of any particularly bad people. Making up a grievance where there isn't one is a great way to con people into believing there's a problem and they need your help. That they need you to control them. And that's really what the slavery and injustice lie is all about. It's Slavery, Version 2.0. Reject it.

*****The Lefty Lies Report*****

A Litany of Lefty Lies to Expose and Ridicule (after all, they are ridiculous lies)

  • I receive Nutcase Nancy's hate-filled, truth-adverse newsletter. She reaches new lows pretty often. Now she's totally lying about what happened at Secretary Noem's press briefing. Alex Padilla is not a member of the press. He is a US Senator. If he wanted to grill the Secretary, he should have asked for a private meeting or deposed her in a Senate session.

It wasn't just because he interrupted the press conference that he was forcibly removed. It was because he was loud, clearly agitated, and getting physical. The security people tried to pull him back, he tussled with them and charged forward. So they removed him. That is how it should be, right? Of course it is. No Senator has the "right" to crash a press conference and start heckling the person holding the conference, just as members of the press do not have the "right" to burst into a Senate hearing and start heckling whoever is speaking. And, of course, there's that shouting and physical intimidation. This is not at all the fantasy that Nutcase conjured up: https://twitter.com/i/status/1933257529657626871

Nutcase makes a big deal that his being a Senator entitles him to this behavior, but the reality is that his being a Senator means his engaging in this behavior is especially bad. She lies that he was "thrown to the ground" and refers to the security officers as "thugs". She is one of the most despicable human beings on the face of this planet. She abuses her office as a Representative to send out these hate blasts. She has yet, in her long and abusive career, to offer anything positive. Somehow, she gets away with this. Even in Transfrancisco, which keeps electing her, you would think people would get a clue. But they don't. She incites insurrection regularly. It's about time she was arrested for these crimes. In this particular case, she is an accessory after the fact. Speaker Johnson is urging the Senate to discipline Padillo; Speaker Johnson should do the same to Nutcase.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iDyRRRvyIbE

  • Misprepresentative Jamie "Retard" Raskin is now claiming the commies didn't make Garcia their hero. Retard said, "I don’t know of a single Democrat who defended him. Specifically against any crimes." Wow! What a brazen liar! Retard is also claiming that due process was denied to Garcia. He was here illegally, and he was deported for that, so he got due process for that crime. We didn't go after him for the other crimes. Now we will have to. Here's an interview with Retard on the Communist News Network: https://twitter.com/i/status/1931102514176524761

  • Misprepresentative Jamie "Retard" Raskin is now spewing the sheer idiocy that America is "A gangster state with a crown". Communists really don't like it when people prosper, so I'm guessing the reason for this latest lie is that under Trump blue collar workers have experienced their largest pay increase in 60 years. And with the Big Beautiful Bill, they will keep much more of it. Or maybe Retard is upset that the effort to murder thousands of elderly people throughout the South this summer due to unreliable power for air conditioning has been thwarted. Whatever his reason is, it's not based on anything good. Nobody should listen to him.

  • "Everyone's Lying About Trump". Alley Beth Stuckey, Episode 1201: https://youtu.be/l-8fMqPkflM (49:04).

  • This is what the lamestream media and the communists are calling "peaceful protesting": https://twitter.com/i/status/1932023090776551641. How these same people can call the guided tours on January 6 an "insurrection" defies reason.

  • ICE is the enemy? Really? They are removing criminals from our country and safely relocating them outside its borders. This somehow justifies using sledgehammers to break chunks of concrete away from sidewalks and buildings, and then hurl them at police officers. Gruesome Newsom and his fellow humanity-hating politicians who back this violence need to be arrested and charged with criminal conspiracy, because that is exactly what they are doing.

  • The Communist News Network is all aghast that President Trump would refer to the violent, stone-throwing, police car burning rioters in California as "insurrectionists". Where were the CNN commentators when Nutcase Nancy misused (and continues to misuse) the term to refer to people who peacefully went on a guided tour of the Capitol while security personnel walked with them and even held the doors for them? CNN is a disgrace and it should be held accountable under various statutes concerning libel, slander, and truth in advertising. Any advertiser that supports this lie channel should be threatened with a boycott for doing so.

*****The Scam Report*****

Some Serious Scams to Know More About

  • The Department of Education is anything but. Here's a short video (5:48) about this particular political scam: https://www.prageru.com/video/do-we-need-the-department-of-education

  • Another update on the Covid scam: https://x.com/toobaffled/status/1932289746715427216?t=dHWshjOwp6gjZt3LyzQkVQ&s=03

  • The Lefty "free speech" scam: Now that there are alternatives to state-run media, such as X (formerly Twitter), the communists want platforms to disclose how they police "user-generated content". The cause of this concern is the hate-mongering trolls have tried to bombard posts they don't like and they have not been allowed to. In other words, the communists can't use this tactic to eliminate free speech and it upsets them. Note that these alleged "free speech advocates" had no problem with the tight censorship that Elon Musk ended by purchasing Twitter. They were perfectly fine with the gas lighting and other propaganda that got millions of Americans killed and totally suppressed the truth. So now they are pretending they are against censorship, in an effort to reassert it.

The Illegal Immigrant Scam: As reported in Epoch Times, 19JUN:

  • Border Patrol did not release any illegal immigrants into the country in May, a “staggering drop” from the more than 62,000 illegal immigrants whom Border Patrol was “forced to release along the southwest border” during the same period in 2024, Customs and Border Protection said.
  • Border Patrol encountered just 8,725 illegal immigrants crossing the southwest border in May, down from 117,905 illegal immigrants encountered in May 2024.

3. Brainpower tip

Napoleon Hill, the author of "Think and Grow Rich" (and other works), said opinions are worthless. Yet, look at how many opinions people will latch onto and argue for. Hill maintained that knowledge has value. Yet, look at how often people lack knowledge before expounding on a topic.

Here are some example of opinions spewed at me:

  • The 1860 war was a war to free the slaves, not a war of succession. Fact: The war began when South Carolina seceded from the union. Fact: Lincoln said that keeping the union together was his goal and whether he did that by freeing slaves or not freeing slaves was of no matter.
  • The Constitution is not the supreme law of the land. Fact: The Constitution itself says this. Fact: This is taught in every law school that teaches American law.
  • Federal spending is what it is because people demand good roads and things like sewage treatment. Fact: Those services are provided by cities, counties, and states. Fact: Federal spending is loaded with corporate welfare transfers of wealth.
  • Inflation is not a tax, I don't get a bill from the government showing any inflation tax. Fact: Inflation is a debasement of the currency. As such, it is a taking of wealth. A taking of wealth by a government is the very definition of a tax.
  • It is racist to accuse Muslims of following Islam. Fact: Islam is the religion of Muslims.

These were all spewed by the same person, over a period of years. Yes, he is a card-carrying Democrat. He also likes to call himself a socialist.

How does a person have such profoundly ignorant opinions?

The answer is he is too lazy to learn about a topic and rather than have any knowledge he just forms opinions. I mentioned Napolean Hill at the start. He asked a fellow, "What do you think of Einstein's Theory of Relativity?" The man replied he disagreed. Hill asked him for more detail, and it became clear this man did not even know what the General Theory of Relativity was. He had an opinion, but zero understanding of the topic.

In many cases, the aforementioned opinion spewer does even worse than this. He forms the opinion based on the opposite of the facts. This is common among Democrats, as you've probably noticed. They tend to say the exact opposite of what's true. Their propaganda outlets, such as the New York Times, are infamous for this behavior. They clearly make a good case for not having opinions on things are are actually matters of fact.

If I ask him something like, "How exactly do you know this?" his normal response is to go into an ad hominem attack rather than provide any evidence to back his opinion (because there isn't any such evidence). Sometimes he will produce something from Snopes, which has been debunked several time as a fact-faker instead of a fact-checker.

Opinion vs fact

It may be your opinion that basketball is more fun to play than baseball is. That is not a matter of fact, it's a matter of opinion. So all opinions are equally valid. They are just matters of preference. You prefer red peppers, your friend prefers orange ones. Mere opinion. Maybe your friend has a sugar addiction and prefers processed food while you prefer real food. Again, a matter of opinion. But if you say that eating food instead of processed food is a major health input, that is a matter of fact. Not opinion.

People sometimes ask me my opinion on something, when really they are trying to research the subject. I do not like having an opinion, much less giving one. It's better to remain open-minded about a subject until you can take the time to learn at least the basic facts about it. So I will often say something to the effect I don't know anything about the topic. If pushed, I will say I don't know anything about the topic because the topic doesn't interest me. So I have no opinion.

Other times, I know the topic very well and will say something to the effect that I know a lot about the topic and have knowledge instead of opinions. Would you like to learn some things about this topic? Some people like this response, others think I'm being difficult; which of the two do you think is open-minded?

It's OK to not know

It is not possible to have a good working knowledge of every topic. So if you don't understand something, there's no shame in that. I often run into this very problem, where I lack the facts to ask the right questions on a topic when speaking to someone who knows the topic really well. I don't try to BS the other person. I stumble humbly through the process and come away a bit better informed on the topic. Or, it may be a topic in which I have no interest and I'll either politely listen to the other person or try to change the subject. Why would I politely listen if I have no interest? Because the other person is very interested and just wants to share that with another person.

This is just part of interacting with people. There's a bit of a responsibility that comes with it, though. I can tell my sister about what happened in a climbing session, even though she has no interest in climbing. I try to make it relatable to her and free of jargon. I also have to keep in mind she's not especially interested in the topic so I need to keep that part short. She never ventures an opinion about climbing, since she doesn't know anything about the subject. But she may latch onto something that came up in my telling of the story. And we move on to that.

Going forward

I hope this short write-up helps you handle the problem of opinions used as an intellectual crutch. You've no doubt had to deal with people who cannot tell fact from fiction and who vehemently fight for the latter as if it is superior to the former. It's OK to disagree on opinions, but the basic facts of a topic should never be argued about. It's better to move those arguing people to the periphery and spend your relationship energy on people who take the time to know what they are talking about.

4. Finance tip

Many pundits are writing articles and giving interviews about how bad tariffs are. They are saying that protectionism doesn't work (correct) and that President Trump is thus doing great harm. The second part does not follow from the first.

To understand why there is zero connection between the two, we can start with President Trump's campaign interviews and campaign speeches. In those, he said other countries have been sticking it to us for decades. He was referring to their tariffs on American goods. His remedy was to give them a taste of their own medicine and see how they like it. He did, and they don't.

The initial tariff action was matching tariffs. You do X to us, so we do X to you. He amped this up with additional tariffs to inflict enough pain that they would quickly come to the bargaining table. Which they have.

Protectionism isn't tit for tat, as this was. Protectionism is when you levy a tariff to prevent competition from foreign companies. In some cases, President Trump is doing that. Those cases involve industries essential for waging war (e.g., steel); we don't want to get caught flat-footed with no way to produce what we need. But it is possible to go overboard with that, as we found out when US steelmakers failed to adapt because they didn't have to. But at some point, the protectionist policies won't make up for bad quality, late delivery, or efficiency improvements. They create a false sense of security. That happened with steel in the USA. The "strategic industry" thing is open to abuse also, as we found out during the Covid scam when liquor stores were considered essential but gyms were not.

Other policies can be used to enable American industries to compete without actually going the protectionism route. For example, levy a non-compliance fee on companies that save money by not controlling their pollution, not following labor laws similar to ours, etc. It must be carefully identified as a non-compliance fee for specific statutes, or it becomes political instead of economic.

Overall, President Trump is not doing protectionism. He is just shoving other countries' faces in their own tariff doggie doo.

Tariffs are legitimate, and we got most of our federal funding from them before the establishment of the Federal Reserve in 1918. The Federal Reserve taxes us heavily by debauching our currency. And at the same time they were created, so were the IRS and the income tax. Tariffs can be used for things like leveling the playing field (e.g., China doesn't have an EPA so we tax their "savings" away so they don't have that as a means of undercutting manufacturers that do operate under the EPA) or punishing for bad behavior (e.g., neglecting to do anything to stop the flow of fentanyl into this country).

It is beyond dishonest to aver that President Trump is engaging in disastrous protectionism, when the reality is he is forcing other countries to stop engaging in their protectionism against us.

We can help ourselves by explaining to the gas-lighted masses (and our own members of Congress) what really is going on. President Trump is doing with tariffs exactly what he said he would do with tariffs. And that is to get other countries' tariffs taken off of our exports.

The Commies, as usual, have their story totally bassackwards. Let's make sure we tell it straight so that our President continues to have the support of our people for doing what we elected him to do. For those with Trump Derangement Syndrome, we can't do a whole lot to bring them into the light of truth. But we can at least make it clear that we disagree with them.

5. Security tip

It is interesting that the communists lie about EVERYTHING yet somehow have a following. One of their boldest lies was that George Floyd was murdered by police officers. He had, in fact, ODd on meth but died from the fentanyl he consumed shortly after that. This is why you can see him on the body cam footage on his feet and telling police, "I can't breathe." The Medical Examiner's Report, which showed no evidence of strangulation but clearly identified lethal amounts of both meth and fentanyl in Floyd's system, was suppressed.

Following the suicide of George Floyd, the communists advocated for "defunding the police." They also advocate for disarming law-abiding citizens, and for opening our borders so that millions of criminals would come into this country to rob, rape, and murder. And to bring more fentanyl here, too.

The communists have nothing positive to offer and thus far EVERYTHING they have touched in the past twenty years has been a disaster. From the Unaffordable Control Act to the Covid Scam to Brainless's Green New Scam, it's all been worse than if they had done nothing at all. So they resort to violence, intimidation, and coercion of all types because no person who is both sane and reasonably well-informed wants what they offer. Hatefulness and deceitfulness are SOP for them, and they think it's perfectly fine to behave in ways that kindergarteners get punished for behaving in. They cannot reason, and are essentially feral animals in clothing. This is not going away, any time soon.

What can we do to protect ourselves? Cowering in fear is never a good solution. It only encourages them. The real solution lies in stopping the Communist News Network and other America-hating sources of gas lighting. But that is going to take time. For the near term, you need something more direct.

Some general tips:

  • Support local law enforcement. Every so often, I go on my city's website and submit a comment that I appreciate the police. Sometimes, I call the dispatcher and say how important the police are and that the vast majority of us appreciate what they do for us.

  • Engage the hate cheerleaders. Nutcase Nancy and other America-hating propagandists go to great lengths to lie about events and inflame the emotions of violent people. Remember how she "took a knee" (while wearing a stupid mask) as our Speaker of the House? Completely inappropriate. You can register as her constituent by using a hotel address in Transfransciso and then use her contact form to ask her to moderate her behavior. For example, "You keep referring to January 6 as an insurrection, but camera footage shows the guards opening doors for people and escorting around the Capitol. Would you please be more honest in your choice of words? Thanks!"

  • Encourage those in the forefront of protecting the Rule of Law. I have written several supportive messages to Marjorie Taylor Greene, for example.

  • When libtards mindlessly pass along the latest lies, speak up. You don't have to argue. You can say something like, "I disagree." Or "Yes, there's that view. Then there's the opposing view, which is backed by actual evidence." Don't continue past that, just drop the truth bomb and move on.

  • Stay away from clearly dangerous situations. If there's a "peaceful protest" in which people are being pelted with concrete chunks and cars are burning, detour away.

  • If confronted, stand your ground. It's the same thing you do if confronted by a snarling dog. If you run, it will smell the fear and attack you. Stay calm, keep your voice down, say something soothing. For example, "I'm not here to harm you. Please let me pass."

If you are actually assaulted, come back with as much excessive force as you can muster. You do not want to get into a fight, you want to end the fight. I am a firm believer in using excessive force because it stops the attacker. The dude hits me, so maybe I grab his left wrist with my right hand and snap his thumb back with my left. Then I stand on his foot and punch him in the throat. He won't be fighting after that. Yes, I fight dirty. You do not learn that in any martial arts school, but you can learn that. Don't be afraid to gravely injure someone who initiates violence against you. You will be saving yourself and probably several other people. Your legal defense is you were afraid for your life.

My hardest climb ever, a 5.11d on lead: https://youtu.be/UT5h0heUUBc . I made a dumb mistake initially, letting the rope wrap over my shoulder. Watch what happens.

The scale:

  • Beginner: 5.6. 5.7. 5.8, 5.9  (roped) / VV, V0, V1, V2 (boulder)
  • Intermediate: 5.10a, b, c, d ;5.11a, b, c, d  / V3, V4, V5, V6
  • Advanced: 5.12a, b, c, d; 5.13a, b, c, d. / V7, V8, V9, V10.
  • Elite and Pro: Even harder. Almost nobody climbs at either level at any of the 6 local climbing gyms.

The vast majority of people who lift weights believe it's all about lifting weights. They don't see that lifting weights is the means to an end, they see it as the end. So their training modality is geared toward how much weight they can lift. Gyms encourage this by having people track their reps and weights. Typically, once you reach 12 reps you are supposed to "graduate" to using the next heavier weight. While this sounds good in theory, it is terrible in practice.

One of the effects of lifting with this modality is you go into performance mode instead of training mode. Let's take the biceps curl, as an example. The typical lifter will shortchange the range of motion to use only the strongest 60% of that range. And s/he will recruit other muscles into the lift. Doing it this way, I have curled over half my body weight with one hand. But it's not training.

One of the things sacrificed by this practice is useful strength. When you lift something heavy, say one end of your friend's couch, what range of motion do you use? It's nearly always that part that the typical weight lifter does not train.

I break the biceps curl down into three ranges of motion:

  • Full contraction. Leverage is most favorable here, so I use a heavy weight. I don't do a lot of work in this part of the range. But it does allow me to get that hard squeeze.
  • Midrange. This is where the typical gym rat stays, though full contraction might also be used. On back/biceps day, I do three exercises in this range and four sets of each. But instead of doing crazy heavy weight that merely recruits other muscles, I use a lighter weight so I can focus on good form rather than being desperate to move the weight.
  • Full contraction. This is the hardest to work, and it's where I work the hardest. I do two exercises in this range with 20lbs and one with only 10lbs. The one with 10lbs involves my lying back on an incline and hyperextending my arms in front of me. Strict form is required to avoid injury.

As a result of my full contraction work, my biceps are very thick at the elbow insertions and the tendons there are huge relative to my biceps. I have impressive physical strength in my arms relative to my size, because this is the part of the arms that gets called on when doing things like climbing or moving heavy objects. It's useful strength.

Full extension work provides several advantages:

  • Greater usable strength.
  • Better aesthetics.
  • Stronger tendons and ligaments.
  • Significantly improved protection against injury.
  • Greater overall muscle growth versus training in the rest of the range (some studies show a 3X factor).
  • Greater adaptive response.

Full extension work has these disadvantages:

  • It takes discipline.
  • If training in a public place, you will be using a lot less weight than some undermuscled weight slinger, who will then smugly congratulate himself on being stronger than you are.
  • Sloppy form invites injury, so you have to stop when you need to stop rather than being able to claim more reps. There goes your fake progress on that gym tracking app!
  • It is really exhausting, and recovery takes longer.

How to incorporate it into your workouts

  • For large compound movements, don't just go farther down in your bench press or sit deeper in your squats. That can result in injury, if you go down past your individual limit with that much weight. Instead, add a set or two with a lot less weight and do the part of the range of motion you didn't do earlier. For squats, your body weight alone will probably suffice. For the bench press, use dumbbells and adjust your arm angles as needed.
  • For isolation exercises, experiment with using less weight and increasing the range of motion. Add in specifically limited range exercises where you are doing full extension only (with a lot less weight).
  • In any training session, do the large compound movements first. Then do the isolation exercises. Always do the exclusively full range sets last. If you get this order wrong, you will have to use more weight where you are most vulnerable to get the same stimulation. Doing things in this order pre-exhausts the muscles, and that allows you to use lighter weight for the same results.

An important thing you need to do in regard to the order of your exercises is put the muscle-lengthening ones last. For example, conclude your chest session with flyes (done from a max of 20 degrees above horizontal to as low as you can go). Flyes "open the chest" and stretch the pecs. This will prevent the subsequent battle between tight pecs and the much smaller teres minor and teres major. Exercises that are limited to the full extension also have this effect, which is another reason you put them last.

Some people say you should warm up with isolation exercises then move to the big compound movements. This is completely wrong, as you can tell from the preceding explanation about the proper order. They do it this way because they can have more fake progress on their gym card. In the long-term, they will be weaker, get more injuries, and sacrifice their aesthetics. Leave the ego at the door, and you will have something that other people admire. Nobody else cares about your gym progress card, and neither should you.

At www.supplecity.com, you'll find plenty of informative, authoritative articles on maintaining a lean, strong physique. It has nothing to do with long workouts or impossible to maintain diets. In fact:
  • The best workouts are short and intense.
  • A good diet contains far more flavors and satisfaction than the typical American diet.

7. Factoid

The newer drugs on the market are less effective and more dangerous (harmful) than the ones they are replacing. Why is this? When a pharmaceutical patent expires, generic versions appear and profit margins are driven down. The solution for Big Pharma is to come out with "novel" (new) drugs. These might not be new at all, but instead may be the failures that weren't brought to market before. Solution: Practice good health care so that you don't end up being on prescription drugs.
