1. Good News: Where the Intel is Good

Defending against socialism
  1. Jeff Bezo's ex-wife is using her divorce settlement to fund "liberal non-profits", which is code for "socialism attack dog groups staffed by delusional idiots who hate other humans in general and America in particular".

Bezos, whose wealth totally depends upon capitalism, will no doubt take countermeasures. This means the cause of freedom will have not just one, but now two, of the world's wealthiest men on our side. Perhaps they can cure Bill Gates of his socialist mental illness and make it three.

  2. Brainless says he will run for POTUS again. Legally, he's entitled to run two more times and be elected each time, since he didn't win in 2020 once the fraud is accounted for. Mentally, he's never been entitled to run (too stupid by far) and that's why he's always lost by a huge margin when he has run (he was a distant fourth in the socialist primary, behind Comrade Warren, Comrade Bernie, and some other idiot). If the people who rule over us decide to let Brainless carry the Democrat banner in the 2024 election and there's enough election reform, then his GOP opponent will have a cakewalk. That will hurt the cause of socialism dramatically.

  3. Bernie Sanders is 81. While his math skills, if he ever had any, have totally deteriorated to the point of imbecility, he can still speak coherently. If he can still do that by 2024, perhaps he will be awarded the nomination instead of Brainless. Then there's Elizabeth Warren, who is also mathematically retarded. She's 73 now, which makes her a spring chicken compared to these other two nutjobs. Whom will the "Democrats" pick? All we can say is it will be someone incredibly stupid.

The GOP's choices for Senate Minority Leader and House Speaker don't bode well for what kind of ninny the GOP will put on the ballot in 2024. It won't be Trump (the retardistas would go into full assault mode, bringing back the Summer Insurrection that the socialists called "peaceful protesting" despite the high body count and millions of dollars of theft and vandalism). And we need DeSantis to keep leading Florida as a beacon of freedom and common sense; we need strong governors, it's stupid to pull one out to preside over a deeply stricken country that can, at best, hobble forward over the next decade. The next POTUS needs to be someone with low expectations and a steady hand at the helm, kind of an Ike figure. Fat chance that will happen.

  4. As of early December 2022, about 300,000 people fled the People's Republic of California in 2022 alone. That's about the same population as Cincinnati, OH. Because that communist country has over 39 million inmates, such an exodus won't change its electoral college votes. From 2000 to 2020, some 2.6 million more people escaped to freedom than moved into the PRoC. That's about the population of Chicago. And it's an average of about 260,000 people a year (about the population of Lubbock, TX--each year!). As fewer sane people stay, the insane ones face less resistance to acting out their mental illness. And that causes even more sane people to leave. At some point, the whole loony bin will simply collapse.

  5. The Delaware Supreme Court ruled against universal mail-in voting and same day registration, based on the fact they violate the Constitution of Delaware. Both methods are strong vectors of election fraud. This is a setback for the socialists, who rely on fraud to win "elections" because nobody with any brains will vote for them.

  6. North Shore University workers scored a big win against socialist violations of their civil liberties. Watch the video here: https://youtu.be/zvFC5Hm2dUA

  7. The Washington (com)Post has lost 500,000 subscribers this year. This communist propaganda rag subsequently has announced layoffs. A similar thing happened with the New York Times, a paper so blatantly biased and in contradiction to easily verifiable facts you have to wonder what would possess ANYONE to read it. Let us hope both scourges go out of business soon.

  8. Mark "I am Woke, hear me whine" Milley is still making an embarrassment of our military and still sentencing many of our brave men and women in uniform to such "benefits" as premature death, disability, and chronic illness by insisting they get the jab. The only treason-related question here is whether Milley should be shot or hanged, but I don't see why both can't be done. Perhaps he should then be buried at sea as was that other famous mass murderer, Osama Bin Laden. The more of these murderers we arrest, arraign, try, and execute--the sooner we send the message that our society fights back when under attack.

The ongoing Covid scam

  • The jab is for a virus that no longer exists, so there is no reason for anybody to get it or any boosters. Its efficacy rate was abysmally low from the get go anyhow. By comparing the "lives saved" with the "vaccine" injury rates and "vaccine" death rates, you are better off just getting Covid. And of course NO vaccine (real or fake) has ever stopped transmission (there is no mechanism). Yet, only recently the top dog in the USA's military machine said he opposes ending the jab mandates. That man should receive a dishonorable discharge. It's an a priori case, no court martial needed.

  • A federal court ruled that the Bidenistas cannot force federal contractors to subject themselves ot the population reduction jab (commonly known as, get this, the "Covid-19 vaccine"--amazing, since Covid-19 has been extinct for more than two years and that shot is not a vaccine). Read more about it here: https://www.blabber.buzz/conservative-news/1045237-another-win-for-medical-freedom-court-rules-against-mandates-on-federal-contractors

  • The Florida Supreme Court approved Governor DeSantis' probe into the immunity reduction jab. Here's something hilarious. People who call themselves "health officials" are against the probe. You cannot make this stuff up!

  • Quacktor Fauci, a man who has shown an amazingly poor grasp of immunology and basic medicine, said that by 31DEC 2022 he would be finally stepping down after 40 years (of malfeasance) as the head of National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). As of this writing, he is still pretending to be a medical doctor.

Other news

  1. Nancy Pelosi is a monster who has done immense damage to the country. She is also a criminal, pathological liar, and bully. Yet, John Boehner, a former Speaker of the House, gushed over her, hugged her, and cried at a dedication ceremony for her portrait. What is one to make of such insanity?

Rocket Pen

The Rocket Pen Reader is an affordable, powerful reading assistant and reading tutor that erases the barriers created by dyslexia and other reading problems. It can be used privately in the classroom, avoiding stigma, thanks to the earbuds included in the kit (it can alternatively be used without earbuds).

How it teaches reading

Before the early 1980s, public schools relied on phonics to teach reading. This allowed any student to "sound out" a new, unfamiliar word and also recognize its root and thereby often grasp its meaning even without a dictionary. Then schools switched to the "Look See" method, which treated words as individual pictograms to memorize. The results were dismal, plummeting the USA from the top of the literacy ranks to the bottom among industrialized countries.

The Rocket Pen puts phonics back in.

It also adds a context-driven dictionary and a context-driven thesaurus, both powerful tools for improving reading skills. See the reading tutor functions in the chart below.

It is the answer

The Rocket Pen Reader is the answer for helping the reading-challenged in the classroom, special needs classes, home-schooling, and adult education. Because of its mobile-friendly design, you can carry it with you and use it anywhere. Not only does it read to you, it helps you learn to read (for example, by showing you the syllable breakdown and the definition). It is super easy to use, no need to watch a dozen videos to figure out what to do.

Based on the highly successful ReadingPen 2 and vastly superior to the cPen Reader Pen, the RocketPen is the latest generation in a reading tutor scanning pen. It is a quantum leap or two beyond anything else on the market. This amazing device retails for $499, sells for $399 on Amazon and Walmart.com, but is on sale now for a limited time only via our eBay store at only $379!

It beats the competition

3. Brainpower tip

People who lack brain power like to gaslight other people in a vain attempt to hide their own stupidity and dishonesty--both of which are expressed in the form of a BS expulsion. One of their techniques is called "redirecting". So the brain-challenged person, caught in yet another BS expulsion, quickly changes the subject. Usually, they do so in a way that puts the onus on you.

An example is the moron Anthony Fauci. Rather than back his asinine assertions with anything resembling facts or logic, he says he is the science and if you oppose him you oppose the science. Now he's redirected the "debate" to being one of whether his opponent believes in science. Completely not the question, but look at how well he gets away with this technique despite being so full of crap it seems he needs a whole box of Ex-Lax chocolates.

Not all BS expellers are as obvious as that moron. Most of them have spent a lot of time polishing their nonsense to make it seem plausible. I personally tend to be slow in judgment here, because I give people the benefit of the doubt. I do that because I know many amazing people. When a brain-challenged person does a self-promoting BS expulsion, I tend to believe it because amazing people I know are not bragging when they are saying something that reflects similar or even better brilliance. My friend Bruce (lives in New Zealand) is one of those ultra-bright people, and even when he says something that is so remarkable it may sound like self-serving BS if you don't know him--he is actually understating his achievement!

The problem is if you are exposed to BS expulsions, you waste your time engaging with dishonest idiots who don't enrich your life. They suck away time you could be using to engage with people you can learn from. I've struggled with this for a long time because I don't immediately catch the BS. I have to wait for the BS expeller to make a mistake. I am very good at catching those mistakes, but I waste time that could be spent learning from someone who is smart and honest.

Thinking about this issue recently, I decided giving people the benefit of the doubt is no longer a viable policy because we're in a stupidity epidemic and the practice of BS expulsion has become far more common than intelligent conversation. What is a solution that allows very early detection of a BS expeller without inadvertently getting rid of an intellectual gem? Ask a probing question. The BS expellers have a fairly shallow script and are not smart enough to think things through. You can simply ask them to define a word they use. "Please clarify what you mean by...." will usually stop them cold. They know that you know. The smart person will be happy to elaborate or at least direct you to an information source if they simply don't have time to discuss the subject.

We are not narrowing our circle by excluding BS expellers. We are merely keeping that circle clean, so that it is useful. Let them BS other BS expellers, and leave us brain-enabled folks alone.

4. Finance tip

The socialists have managed to deal another gut blow to the economy. It behooves all of us, except those who do not mind not being able to make ends meet, to expend extra effort to stop this war against America. If you do not believe it's a war, look below at what is in the latest $1.7 trillion inflation-boosting package these America-haters just passed (source: The Junior Senator from Kansas, who voted FOR American and thus AGAINST this assault).

Among the wasteful provisions in the $1.7 trillion, 4,155 page economic devastation bill are:

1. $47 billion deficit spending to fund the war in Ukraine
2. $3.2 billion to continue processing and releasing illegal migrants at a faster pace and larger scale.
3. $800 million for grants for liberal cities like New York, Washington, D.C., and Chicago to receive illegal aliens.
4. $1.6 million for the Leahy Center in Vermont, named after Sen. Patrick Leahy, the member who requested the earmark.
5. $750,000 for “LGBT and Gender Non-Conforming housing” in Albany, New York.
6. $750,000 for the “TransLatin@ Coalition” to provide “workforce development programs and supportive services for Transgender and Gender nonconforming and Intersex (TGI) immigrant women in Los Angeles.”
7. $3.6 million for a Michelle Obama Trail in Georgia.
8. $1.7 billion for ATF to enforce regulations that will take away Americans 2ndAmendment rights.
9. $83 billion total emergency appropriations that are also not paid for with spending offsets in the regular budget
10. $2 billion in defense funding for clean energy investments
11. $3 million for the American LGBTQ+ Museum in New York City
12. $2.3 million to encourage student loan holders to enroll in the Biden administration’s illegal loan cancellation scheme
13. $370 billion on Green New Deal style handouts to “green” industries
14. $1.2 million for “LGBTQIA+ Pride Centers”
15. $1.2 million for “support services for DACA recipients” at San Diego Community College
16. $1 million for Zora’s House in Ohio, a “coworking and community space” for “women and gender-expansive people of color.”
17. $1.5 million for the COVID-19 American History Project
18. $3.5 million to fund the Office of Diversity and Inclusion in Congress.
19. $1.5 billion in taxpayer funding for something called the Advanced Research Projects Agency – Health (ARPA-H).
20. Designates a “Ukrainian Independence Park” in Washington, D.C.
21. An extra $212.1 million to the DOJ to further prosecutions J6 defendants and investigate and charge hundreds more.
22. $410 million to "remain available" to reimburse Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Tunisia and Oman for "enhanced border security." At least $150 million of that must go to Jordan, according to the bill.
23. $575 million in a global health section allocated for “family planning/reproductive health, including in areas where population growth threatens biodiversity or endangered species.”

Some cat safety tips for cold weather (also holidays): https://www.thepurringtonpost.com/cat-safe-holiday-campaign/

Think how these tips may apply to your neighbor's cat who is over for a visit, or to your dog or your kids. Or a dog or kids who are visiting.

BTW, you don't have to worry about getting BS expulsion from a cat. They have nothing to prove and no need to BS people. Moronic people are a different story.

After this interview, https://purecleanperformance.com/blogs/coaches-corner/the-heart-of-an-athlete-installment-4-mark, I received a fair number of inquiries from people wanting some sort of advice. Most of the queries were from people who made it clear they weren't aspiring to my level of fitness but they definitely wanted to be more fit than they currently are. These had an ala carte flavor to them, such as, "What can I do to flatten my tummy?" or, "What is the best way to shed my extra pounds?" Most of these people were casually dabbling at the problem, relying on low-efficacy measures such as treadmill work..

The common threads are:

  1. I can't make this workout thing fun enough to stick with it.
  2. I'm not trying to get ripped or have huge muscles.
  3. Spending a couple of hours a day is not going to happen.

Let's look at these.

I can't make this workout thing fun enough to stick with it. My response is this. I clean my toilets not because it's fun, but because doing so makes my life better. Same with training. Training isn't fun, because to get the adaptive response you must spend time under tension (not time under fun), trigger metabolic stress (stress isn't fun, by definition), and do muscular damage (that's no fun either). The reward is not in the process, but in the results.

I'm not trying to get ripped or have huge muscles. If you eat right and train right, you will get ripped. Getting ripped isn't a goal of training, it's a result that occurs. If you actually want a softer look, just eat more. As for huge muscles, I don't know why so many people believe they have to restrain themselves or risk walking around looking like Mr. Olympia. It is not a realistic fear, even among abusers of anabolic steroids.

Spending a couple of hours a day is not going to happen. It is a common misperception that the more time you spend training the better your results. This is false. If you train correctly, the training itself limits how much time you will spend. If you take short breaks between sets and if you stack sets of different exercises back to back (getting HIIT that way), you're not going to go past 30 minutes. Where people err is stretching before training (don't ever do this, it is how you get injured) for 15 - 20 minutes, doing a 20 minute warm-up (low-intensity exercise, not beneficial), taking long breaks between sets, and then doing a post-workout "cool down" routine. All this nonsense adds a useless 30 to 40 minutes to your session. And if you drive to and from a gym, add another 40 minutes. Set up a gym at home (even if it's only bands and a few dumbbells), and just do your workout.

Another problem people have is they do not understand the split routine. Gyms cater to the "low effort" crowd that just wants a magic solution. So they teach newbies to do circuit training three days a week. This is fine if you are starting from a barely able to walk condition. But you quickly hit a plateau. The gyms have a solution for this, also. They have you count and record reps. Your mind focuses on that, so you cheat on form and range of motion to get more reps and use more weight--without even realizing it. And you have the perception of progress until one day you look in the mirror and see no change since six months ago.

The split routine is the only way to go. That's not debatable, and pro sports coaches know this and thus it's the standard for pro athletes and all serious amateur ones. But where do you start?

How to start

I always suggest, no, make that always insist, that a person start with having only one workout day a week. That day is Leg Day. Go on YouTube and find two different kinds of body weight squats you can do. On Leg Day, do those while concentrating on your form and the full range of motion. Meanwhile, pick one highly processed food to replace with a whole food alternative. Pick another one each month until you are no longer eating anything with wheat, processed sugar, or other toxins. After one month, add upper body.

  • Month 2. Create Back Day. This will eventually become Back and Biceps Day. Depending on your equipment, do lat pulldowns (wide grip and narrow grip) or chin-ups and pull-ups. Add something to your leg workout.
  • Month 3. Create Rear Delt Day. This will eventually become Shoulder Day. Add something to your leg workout and add a biceps exercise to your Back Day.
  • Month 4. Create Chest Day. This will eventually become Chest and Triceps Day. Start this with cable pulls (or band pulls). Do NOT add the bench press. Upgrade your other workouts by adding an exercise.

You keep going with this process, and in a couple of years you'll have a workout system that is reasonably good. There are several flaws:

  • It requires a long timeline just to create a complete program.
  • You aren't likely to know the correct form, though that is possible to glean from enough videos. This is an issue, due to the risk of injuring ligaments and tendons.
  • You may not design this program in an optimal way to trigger the adaptive response.
  • The slow build-up might cause you to quit.
  • You've got to do a lot of research, make a lot of decisions, and do the trial and error thing.

A faster and easier way

Another approach is to contact a qualified trainer who actually knows what they are doing. As it turns out, I happen to know someone. I'm not going to get any money or other compensation for this plug. I'm just going to connect people with a need to an effective way to fit that need. Go here: https://lifetransformations-kc.com/. Notice that there's a remote training option. Sweet!

Of course, this is not free. But it has none of the flaws I just mentioned for the method I prescribed.

  • Your instructor will be able to create a complete program for you during the first few sessions, if not the very first one.
  • Correct form will be stressed and taught.
  • Your program will likely trigger the adaptive response from the start, which means you will see results quickly.
  • There's no long build-up to wait on.
  • The research has already been done for you. You'll have fewer decisions to make, and the ones you do make will be with expert consultation. You'll do trial and results, not trial and error.

At www.supplecity.com, you'll find plenty of informative, authoritative articles on maintaining a lean, strong physique. It has nothing to do with long workouts or impossible to maintain diets. In fact:
  • The best workouts are short and intense.
  • A good diet contains far more flavors and satisfaction than the typical American diet.

7. Factoid

Inflation and a general increase of prices are not the same thing. Inflation is the debasing of the currency due to the creation of too much money relative to the basket of goods and services (aka, printing money to cover reckless spending). Inflation is something that is caused by unscrupulous people. A general increase of prices is something that is caused by inflation.

8. Thought for the Day

Instead of defunding the police, we should be defunding the CDC and the FDA.

Authorship

The purpose of this publication is to inform and empower its readers (and save you money!). The views expressed in this e-newsletter are generally not shared by socialists or other brainwashed individuals. That's because those fools live in an alternate reality and have not bothered to learn the basics of how life works. They cannot do basic math, cannot apply logic, and cannot be bothered to learn the basic facts relevant to any topic that they are passionate about.

Except where noted, this e-newsletter is entirely the work of Mark Lamendola. Anything presented as fact can be independently verified. Where sources are not given, they are readily available to anyone who makes the effort. Mark provides information from either research or his own areas of established expertise. Sometimes, what appears to be a personal opinion is the only possibility when applying sound logic--reason it out before judging! (That said, some personal opinions do appear on occasion).

Personal note from Mark: I value each and every one of you, and I hope that shows in the diligent effort I put into writing this e-newsletter. It is an act of service, almost no money is generated for me through this effort. Thank you for being a faithful reader. Please pass this newsletter along to others.
