Fees and Expenses

I offer two types of seminars: virtual and in person.

Virtual Seminars
Over the past few years, I have been reluctant to travel for speaking engagements, because doing so involves wasting huge amounts of time. It's rather cheeky of someone to accept payment for telling you how to save time while burning hours standing in line at airports. Thus, I now offer virtual seminars in addition to in person ones.
How these work
  • I will call into a conference line that you set up.
  • I will present for 30 minutes. This is the length that most appears to maximize client ROI.
  • You will need a moderator at your end, to "handle the mike." These presentations are interactive, to keep people focused and learning.
  • If you want visuals, I will send those ahead of time.
  • Yes, I will comment on specific problems. I do not believe in "one size fits all," so my comments will not take the form of canned "solutions."
  • Yes, I am available for weekend presentations.

Virtual Seminar Fee

  • 30 minute talk: $350.
  • Q&A: A 20-minute Q&A session is included in the price.

I bill only for the time agreed upon in advance. There are no surprise billings.

In Person Seminars

In Person Fees

  • Luncheons or dinner meetings (45 minutes to an hour). $700.
  • Full presentation (90 minutes). $1,200.
  • Extended presentation (2 hrs): $1,800.
  • Three hour workshop: $2100.
Why I don't offer full-day workshops or multi-day seminars. These are a waste of time. People will absorb only so much. Some people don't mind bloating out what is really a one-hour presentation, but I do.

Expenses

  • If you are within a 2 hour drive of Kansas City, my expenses are included in the fee.
  • Travel to either coast is an additional $150 per day of total time (typically, this works out to $300).
  • Travel in between these points will depend on your exact location. Chicago, for example, is an extra $50.

Cost-reducer

Here's an offer for any group that has video equipment. If you will make a 5-minute professional quality video of me presenting to your group, you will get a significant price reduction (contact me to negotiate).
