Fundamentals of Computer Graphics, Second Ed. by Peter Shirley, Michael Ashikhmin, Michael Gleicher, and Stephen Marschner (Hardcover - Jul 2005)

The second edition of this widely adopted text includes a wealth of new material, with new chapters on Signal Processing (Marschner), Using graphics hardware (Willemsen), Writing graphics applications (Sung), Perception (Thompson), Curves (Gleicher), Animation (Ashikhmin), and Tone reproduction (Reinhard). Maintaining the strengths of the first edition, the authors present the mathematical foundations of computer graphics with a focus on geometric intuition, allowing the programmer to understand and apply those foundations to the development of efficient code.

Interactive Computer Graphics: A Top-Down Approach Using OpenGL (4th Edition) by Edward Angel (Hardcover - Mar 25, 2005)

Interactive Computer Graphics fourth edition presents introductory computer graphics concepts using a proven top-down, programming-oriented approach and careful integration of OpenGL to teach core concepts. The fourth edition has been revised to more closely follow the OpenGL pipeline architecture and includes a new chapter on programmable hardware topics (vertex shaders). Topics such as light-material interactions, shading, modeling, curves and surfaces, antialiasing, texture mapping, and compositing and hardware issues are covered.

Geometric Tools for Computer Graphics (The Morgan Kaufmann Series in Computer Graphics) by Philip Schneider and David H. Eberly (Textbook Binding - Sep 26, 2002)

This book focuses on algorithms and data structures that have proven to be versatile, efficient, fundamental, and easy to implement. The book familiarizes students, as well as practitioners in the field of computer graphics, with a wide range of data structures.

The authors describe each data structure in detail, highlight fundamental properties, and present algorithms based on the data structure. A number of recent representative and useful algorithms from computer graphics are described in detail, illuminating the utilization of the data structure in a creative way.

Geometric Data Structures for Computer Graphics by Elmar Langetepe and Gabriel Zachmann (Hardcover - Feb 1, 2006)

There is nothing here for the casual graphics programmer and everything for the serious 2-D and 3-D programmer. Thirteen chapters, three appendices, and a three-column index that spans over 30 pages cover everything about computer-graphic geometry, from the basics of using matrices and linear systems to intersecting 3-D objects.

Immerse yourself in a stunning journey of adventure, fantasy and wild humor that will entertain people of all ages. Bright, crisp computer animation awaits you in this spectacular display of imagination and technology. "Computer Animation Experience" expands on the theme that "Computer Animation Adventure" started by showcasing the world's best computer animation shorts. From a previously unreleased Peter Gabriel song to a hair-raising 3-D ride into the "Devil's Mine," "Computer Animation Experience" will capture the imagination of everyone.

Computer Animation Classics by French Stewart, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jane Curtin, and Simbi Khali, Odyssey-Mind's Eye (DVD - 1999)

The short films in this anthology were made during the '80s, when commercials, network logos, and station IDs made the general public aware of the new medium of computer graphics (CG). Many of the films are portfolio pieces, demos, student works, and experiments in technique, without real story lines or characters. The look and even the subjects were largely determined by what was easy to do on a computer: candy-apple colors, merry-go-rounds, foil-leafed palm trees, mirrors, and twisting point- of-view shots.
