| I have reviewed the information on the Hoyt Fiasco Web
site. Based
on my review, it would be wrong for the IRS to continue to pursue the defrauded
investors for back taxes, penalties and interest. I THEREFORE call upon the IRS to offer a reasonable and equitable settlement to all Hoyt investors. Such settlement should include abatement of all interest on the tax debts created by Mr. Hoyt's fraud. I further call upon my legislators to conduct oversight hearings to determine whether the IRS is adequately complying with the 1998 Congressional mandate to promulgate more flexible offer-in-compromise rules and to provide for the abatement of interest in longstanding cases
