Questions

Answers

Do your courses on project management prepare me for the various certification routes of the Project Management Institute? Indirectly, yes. The material covers what you need to know about project management. However, the courses do not  focus on exam preparation. They focus on improving your real-world skills. However, what you learn will not impede certification. If you want PMI certification, click here. We also offer our own certification.
Are you one of the approved (by PMI) course providers? No. We are not affiliated with the Project Management Institute. What they do is fine, if you want to spend 10 times the money to get a piece of paper most bosses will disregard. In the real world, what really counts is results--not credentials.

So, you must decide which is more important: getting the skills or getting the paper. If you are trying to move into project management, that particular paper may help--but so might ours. To succeed as a project manager, you need the skills. We give you the skills.
Why do you charge so little, compared to the courses on other sites? Doesn't this say something about your quality?

It does say something about the quality, if you measure quality by the pound. Because we don't sell you all kinds of filler, and because we aren't paying huge association fees, we charge you accordingly.

There are advantages to many of the higher-priced offerings--such as accreditation or PMI certification. You need to decide whether you want to pay more for the name or whether you want maximum value for your dollar.

Our goal is not to make you spend a lot of money learning how to answer test questions. Our goal is to teach you how to do your job better, so you can keep your job.

Given the low cost of our courses, you can always do the PMI route later on while enhancing your career today. In the meantime, compare the price of our set of basic courses to the $1,980 charged by one of our competitors.

Instructor credentials:

Mark Lamendola holds an MBA (with a 3.97 GPA), professional Certified Manager designation, and membership in Mensa (requires genius IQ for admission). He is on the Board of Regents of the Institute of Certified Professional Managers and has served on the boards of other prestigious organizations.

He has managed projects--large, small, and multiple. He has authored over 3500 articles in print or online, has taught many technical courses, and is in demand as a speaker. He has saved some companies thousands of dollars a week, just by applying  principles you'll find in these courses. BG&E, for example, realized a permanent $3 million per year cost reduction at one facility in 1987--you can see this in the annual report for the same year. Frigidaire realized a $750,000 annual savings through application of a single principle from these courses. So, he "walks the walk" and tells you things that work.

You can have confidence in this instructor's ability to train you quickly. Here's an example of his success. In 1989, he trained a martial arts novice for six months. That trainee took 2nd place in an annual open style martial arts tournament in Dallas, defeated only by 1988's grand champion. If you want to learn, this is your man.

His best qualification is very simple: he cares about your success.
