Note: If you see the term "medical digitizer," it's the same thing as "medical scanner" though typically the connotation is "medical scanner that digitizes X-rays."

Don't be intimidated by the manuals. There really isn't that much involved in using the Microtek brand of medical scanner. For example, the Medi-7000 is a vertical X-ray light table and scanner. Slide the X-ray in the top, view what's on it, then give it a slight push to digitize it.
