I get a message that says both non-secure and secure items are displayed on this page. That concerns me. What's that about? It's another of those annoying messages that Microsoft browsers pop up. It is saying that the secure page contains elements (e.g., graphics) that are not on the secure server. However, all information leaving the server does so as 128-bit encrypted.
Will you resell my information? I don't like giving it out. We absolutely will not sell or trade your information. That is a violation of your trust. Any "gain" that could be made that way does not hold long-term value for the company. We want good relationships with our customers.
What do you do with my personal information? We don't do anything with it. That information resides on a secure server. We do get your shipping and contact information, which we share with the vendors who ship your product. They do not get your credit card number. We normally don't even see your credit card number--all the access to it is done automatically to complete your transaction.
Why don't you take my order over the phone? Isn't that safer than if I do it over the Internet? We do take orders over the phone. But, it's the least desirable way to conduct the purchase. If we did all of our orders this say, we'd have to hire staff to process orders over the phone and that would mean higher prices for you. Plus, it means a higher possibility of error and a higher level of security risk.

Telephone voice conversations are not secure. However, the information you send via our online purchase system is secure. If you were to phone us to fill out the order, we'd have to type what you tell us to type and send the order via the Internet anyhow.

Don't make all of your communication electronic: hug someone today.
