Credit Card Security Code: CVV2 Number

The security code, or CVV number, is a security feature required for all credit cards. Do not shop at any site that doesn't require it. Merchants require this code to conform to the VISA credit card security standards.
  • On American Express cards, you will find a four-digit number on the front of the card.
  • On all other cards, you will find a three-digit number, after the card number, on the back of the card.
