4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Good info, left me wanting a bit more, 7.8.2010

This comes across more like a seminar, to me. I can "hear" the instructor speaking to me as I read. It's got that kind of tone, which helps keep my attention. But I would have liked a few less case histories and a few more practical exercises because they've been cutting back on people where I work. For the price, this course is excellent. But I think I'd pay twice as much and feel I got a great deal if it had just a couple more practical exercises.

After implementing several of the ideas in here, I waited for that annual performance review. It was much better this time around, thus proving the value of this course. Still didn't address everything I'm facing, but a big improvement. I hope it helps me to keep avoiding the layoff list. So far, so good.

Some of this, I'd read in self-help books. Most of it was new ground for me, though. A few points could have been explained better, I'm not sure I understand how to apply them. I hope this works. So far, no problems. These things do take time, and it all feels right. I survived three rounds of layoffs since I began working through the concepts, so that's a good sign.

Reviewer: Jim Boxliter (San Jose, CA)

I've been on the layoff treadmill for the past six years. After the first two years of that, I got really sick of it and started reading various advice books. They didn't help. I came across this course and decided to see if it might help me figure out what's been going wrong. It did. My present employer has had several major layoffs since I started here and I've survived every one of them. I've also managed to avoid the paycuts and even got a promotion. The career scene is really a game, and you just need to know the rules. Break 'em, and you're gone. I don't have that problem anymore.

I wish I'd had this information years ago. I've applied some principles and have seen results.
