| When you are 20% sleep-deficient, you have the mental acuity of someone who is drunk (Source: Sleep Institute). And that's no way to be. This course pays for itself several times over by giving you weapons in the war on sleeplessness. |
Sleep: The Final Frontier.
Many cultures, especially the corporate ones in
the United States, hold sleep deficiency up as a badge of honor.
But, it is nothing
to be proud of. In fact, it is something to fear.
You may be underperforming right now, and not even be aware of that. This is one of the problems with inadequate sleep--it dulls your awareness so that you don't even know you are badly in need of sleep. |
I recently completed "The Promise of Sleep" by William C. Dement, M.D., Ph.D., which told me much more than I ever wanted to know about sleep.
Your sleep course has the most sensible, concise and
straight-
forward advice that hits many nails on their head. I appreciate the effort made in behalf of those of us who read
it.
Excellent work at Mindconnection!
Thanks,

Consider these facts:
- The National Highway Traffic Administration attributes
over 100,000 traffic "accidents" each year to insufficient sleep.
The actual number is probably much higher.
- The Sleep Institute has found sleep deficiency to be
the normal condition of Americans—and that explains a lot of the problems
we are having today with inattention and the inability to focus enough to
engage in critical thought.
- Twice each year, most of American changes the clock in
a time-robbing exercise amazingly referred to as "Daylight Savings
Time." In reality, the spring change robs millions of an hour of
daylight each morning and shifts an hour of daylight into "post
bedtime." Either direction, the clock is suddenly out of synch with
established circadian rhythms. Industrial injuries ("accidents")
and traffic incidents increase for about three weeks following each of these
clock changes.
- People who are religious about their bedtimes look much
younger than, and have more energy than, their "normal"
counterparts.
- Depression and insomnia often go hand in hand.
- The fact that work performance suffers as sleeplessness
goes up needs no substantiation—we all know this from experience.
- A person who is 20% sleep deprived has the mental
acuity of a person who is legally drunk. By the way, CEOs often brag about
how "hard" they "work" and how little sleep they get—4
to 6 hours is common. Now you know why layoffs happen—a bunch of drunks
run most of our corporations.
- Sleep deficits cause a dulling of the mind,
irritability, and loss of focus. If you are having problems with grasping
new information, dealing with others, or concentrating, consider sleep
deficit a prime area to address.
Yes, sleep deficiency is costly in finances, human
potential, and the ability to enjoy life. Now, you can do something about it. In response to
repeated requests for a course like this, Mindconnection researched the topic to
provide answers to a problem that brings untold misery to millions of people
each day.
But don't worry--you won't fall asleep reading it. Rather than fill it
with fluff, we provide information in a concise, easy to read, practical
format so you can solve your sleep problem and get on with your life. The time
you spend studying this will be the best time you spend.
Approximate study time: 52 hours
