This is the fourth in a series of courses designed to quickly give you the skills and understanding you need to succeed in your projects.

But, "quickly" is relative. You can’t be a "One Minute Project Manager." However, if you’ll apply yourself to these lessons, you will dramatically improve your proficiency in a matter of weeks. In fact, if you set aside an hour each day for digesting and applying the information in this and subsequent courses, you'll be soon mastering the Intermediate level courses—even if you have no prior project management experience or training.

This fourth course shows you how to identify the stakeholders of the project and what’s important to them. Some of these are the people who pay the bills, others are the ones whose complaints can kill your project or whose kudos can increase your stature. This course also shows you how to identify the resources you will need to meet the needs of these powerful and influential people. Most project failures are due to improper application of resources to stakeholder requirements.

You must know this material if you want to avoid problems with parties affected by the project and avoid the resource problems that can keep you from completing the project satisfactorily. This course will help you develop the expertise to do that. Subsequent courses cover other areas.

One of our other PMs came here from [major defense contractor] and had completed his PM cert last year. He said this course matches PMBOK exactly and then takes it a step further. That's good to know, and I found the information valuable. But I feel it should have some kind of practice module to work through.
