You can now charge your jetBook e-book reader, PDA, laptop, translator, camera, or mobile phone in Asia, Australia, Europe, and New Zealand--not just the USA. This kit allows you to convert/adapt to receptacles in other countries.
More Info
No need to leave your jetBook e-book reader behind when you leave the country. In fact, you can use this AC Adapter Travel Kit with all kinds of devices.
The AC plugs on your electronic devices won't fit into receptacles in many other countries. Why is this? Well, there are three reasons:
AC plugs are "coded" so that you can't accidentally plug them into an incompatible power source. For example, in the USA a convenience receptacle provides 120V power at 60Hz. But another receptacle might provide 480V at 60Hz, 277V at 60Hz, or 480V at 400Hz. Plugs must match receptacles so you get the correct power and don't blow something up. This is why you need the right plug.
Different countries have adopted different power schemes. For example, the counterpart to the 120V, 60Hz USA receptacle may be 100V, 50 Hz in another country. This is why you need a converter.
Different countries have adopted different "coding" schemes. So even where the power is the same at the receptacle, the receptacle design might not allow you to plug in. This is why you need a plug adapter.
Note that simply making a physical connection doesn't necessarily allow you to get the correct power. That's why you need components made specifically for converting and adapting when you travel.
This kit is designed to work almost anywhere:
Asian countries such as Japan and Korea
European countries such as France and Germany
Pacific countries such as New Zealand and Australia
Throughout the Western Hemisphere.

Tips
eBookReader Tips
These tips apply to eBookReaders, in general. Some may not apply to your particular eBookReader. Some apply to any mobile device, even if it's not an eBookReader.
Accessories
Keep your accessories in a zippered pouch. You can find a suitable one at any office supply store.
If you have SD cards or MMCs, keep them in a special case made for these cards. Put it inside your zippered pouch.
Generally, new accessories do not come out after the device has been on the market. But sometimes, they do. We carry the current offerings of accessories, so check this site to see what's available.
Batteries/charging
If your eBookReader has an li-poly rechargeable battery, don't charge it for more than 6 to 12 hours.
If your batteries are alkaline, consider replacing them with rechargeable ones (pick up a charger and batteries at your local office store).
Reading
You've invested in an eBookReader. Now make that investment pay off by choosing ebooks of substance. The occasional novel is OK, but the device is best used to boost your brainpower by reading nonfiction.
In the USA, people tend to be grossly unaware of their own nation's history. This is a huge mistake, and it's why the federal "elections" are mostly ineffectual. If you learn why things are they way they are and how they got there, you're well on the way to being properly prepared for civil participation.
Many nonfiction titles are life-changing, and that's true across many genres and subjects. Consider health, career, interpersonal relationships, and history just to name a few.
Non-reading programs
A phenomenon called "convergence" occurs as more devices share the same or similar features. Many mobile devices have similar auxiliary programs. Interestingly, many users of Device A will buy Device B to get functionality that's already on Device A. Check out your device to see what all of its functions are.
Most of the non-reading programs won't be useful to a particular person. What usually happens is different people like different things and so you're likely to find one or two of these programs exceptionally useful. Play around with the device a bit to see which of these best suit you.
Device problems
As with most gadgets today, if it malfunctions reboot it. The button that turns the screen on and off does not turn the device on and off. The device has a reset button. This doesn't completely clear the memory, though. If a reset doesn't fix your problem, remove the battery(ies) and after waiting about 15 minutes put the battery(ies) back in and restart the device.
If the device has an SD card or MMC, pop it out, pop it back in, and reset the device.
Device security.
Back in the old days, travelers would accidentally forget the novel they were reading when getting on or off the plane. Oops. But a small loss. Then this transitioned to cell phones and laptops. Oops. Not a small loss. A solution to this problem, at least with eBookReaders, is to use a wrist tether. You can also just follow the cue of airline pilots and climbers by having a set procedure you go through even if you're "sure" everything is OK. Get in the habit of turning your eBookReader on and then back off any time you rise from a seat while traveling. This may sound silly, but what happens is you must always touch that device and be aware of it before moving. That keeps you from leaving it behind.
Generally, eBookReaders don't get stolen. There's a much higher risk with laptops because the theives are not so concerned with getting a device; they are after the data (e.g., passwords and, in the case of corporate laptops, proprietary information). However, this doesn't mean eBookReaders don't disappear when you're not looking. Rather than set it on the chair next to you, put it in your carry bag or set it on the floor under your foot.
