Speech to Speech
The LUX can approximate "speech to speech translation" by using some clever computing tricks. For major languages, it can do this directly on the device. For minor languages, it does this by accessing the computing power of the cloud (Wi-Fi needed for those languages).
For this specific LUX2 model:
Yes, this translator has the Speech to Speech Feature: You talk, it translates.
In the dictionary, the voice in English is natural human voice recorded by a live human. That is also true of most of the other languages. See above for this specific language set.

It's very easy to use and can translate anywhere you happen to be. I'm still playing with it and trying out all the features, but I have to say it's amazing and totally blows me away.

Highly functional, yet easy to use. I took it on a trip to Ukraine, but found it so useful for all kinds of things that I carry it with me everywhere.
Only downside is it doesn't have a phone so I still have to carry a phone.

I had a few problems getting it to work with my Wi-Fi, but once those were behind me this really made me a happy user. Then I took it to Starbucks and had no problem with connection at all. Then I tried the library, again no problem at all.
The speech to speech translation is just a bit touchy (not nearly as touchy as my ex-wife), but the more I use it the more it works without problems. Not sure if it's me learning or the translator....
