If you have an iTravl translator (current generation only; it has the 9 icons on screen 1 rather than only a home screen with the Statue of Liberty), you can add GPS functionality to it. All you need is the iTravl GPS receiver and the appropriate maps SD card(s). Select the items you need, below.
How It Works
Use your translator as a GPS. The GPS accessory is a tiny GPS receiver (GPSR) that clips on to your iTravl translator. You can then use the GPS program on the translator, plus a GPS map card, to work with live GPS signals coming through the GPS Receiver.
This allows you to navigate to a location, just as you would with any typical GPS unit. But now you don't have to carry yet another device.
How To Use It
To start the GPS:
Open the Navigation System application on your translator.
Change the SD cards out, installing the card with the maps that you need (see Maps tab).
To get navigation (directions seem detailed, but it's really quite simple and obvious what to do when using the device):
Press ARROW LEFT twice on the left Sidebar on the screen.
Press NAVIGATION SYSTEM.
Press GPS below twice and make sure number of SATELLITES IN USE is more than 0.
Press MENU.
Press FIND LOCATION.
Press FIND STREET ADDRESS.
Input Street address: house number, street name, zip-code. Example: 6660 E Hampden Ave 80224 (no need to input city name and state; make sure you use space appropriately).
Select appropriate state in the black box on the right top corner of the screen.
Press FIND.
You should see the street address on the white background. Tap it.
To start navigation, press NAVIGATE TO.

More Info
This accessory works only with iTravl translators, and only certain variations of it. If you have a 900-series translator, that uses a similar accessory but they aren't interchangeable.
Application note:
This works only with units purchased in the latter part of 2009. If you bought your translator before September 2009, do not buy this accessory.
This does not work with any units that have the Statue of Liberty welcome screen, which is the original interface and which is present on multilanguage devices that have more than 9 languages.
The Ectaco GPS Reciever clips on to your iTravl translator. Input your destination and you'll be on the way. The system records its position, time, date, speed, heading, and altitude; you can review your traveled routes in the saved section. More Info
