Notwithstanding, the national model code standards adopted into Title 24 apply to all occupancies in California except for modifications adopted by state agencies and local governing bodies. Title 24, Part 2, California Building Code, Volume 2, contains provisions for structural engineering design. It comes fully integrated with the 1997 Uniform Building Code, Volume 2. Volumes 1 and 2 contain complete regulations and general construction building standards of state adopting agencies.
