Among our offerings are reading pens, translating pens, and pens you use to scan and transfer to PC. The scan and transfer pens come in mobile and tethered versions.

We also offer a limited selection of flatbed scanners, having chosen to offer only those that our scanning pen buyers might also want to buy and that we could properly source and support.

Reading v. Storing

Scan text, then hear it read. Hear definitions, too. These pens are generally used as learning assistive tools, to help people get past hard words. They also help people who have learning or reading disabilities. These pens don't allow you to scan, store, or transfer to PC.		Scan text, then transfer it to your computer. Some models have limited voice playback. These pens allow you to take copious notes and store it all in your pen, then later import it directly into your word processing program or other program you'll be working with. No feeding dimes and quarters into copying machines or lugging a laptop to the law library.

Mobile?

Mobile scanning pens are self-contained scanning pens and do not require a PC to operate. You can scan, store, and transfer later to PC; Reading pens are also in this category (they're mobile). Think "self-contained" or "no cord."

Peripheral scanning pens function as PC (or Mac) peripherals, and are connected to your PC while you scan. Think "plug in."

Say you want to take notes for a research paper. You don't need an entire page. In fact, getting an entire page would be a hindrance because you'd have to hunt and sort all over again for the passage need.

A page excerpt pen solves this problem.

You need to grab an entire page. You could do this with a flatbed scanner, but you can't be lugging that and a computer around with you.

The solution is a full page scanning pen. And it's quick.

Translate

These scanning pens allow you to translate text you scan from a printed source. They are for the traveler, student, researcher, or anyone needing to translate text while on the go.

For most models, translation is to the screen only. Some models provide foreign character recognition to create a translatable file and come with the translation software so you can do the translation on your computer.

Many options exist to meet a wide variety of needs.

Flatbeds

Most people are familiar with these. They function as PC (or Mac) peripherals, and accommodate a variety of media Some models accept legal size. Some models are specifically for photo scans.

While our selection of scanning pens is complete, we chose to limit our offerings of flatbed scanners such that we offer only those that our scanning pen buyers might also want to buy and that we could properly source and support.

Shipping

We pay for UPS Ground Shipping on scanning pen products. Thus, you'll see "Free shipping" on the product pages.

Manuals

We provide downloadable PDFs of all manuals of our scanning products, on the product pages.

POs

Many of our customers need to purchase via Purchase Order and pay by check or wire transfer. We are happy to have such customers. Thus, we accommodate buyers who have to work within paper-based systems, though we don't use paper ourselves. As an Earth-friendly company, we don't do faxes. Here are a couple of ways you can send us your order:

Option One Type a short e-mail telling us: What you want. Where to send it. Whom to invoice (via e-mail). What the PO number is. We don't need your actual PO.	Option Two Proceed through checkout, as though you were using a credit card. For Bill To, enter the e-mail address of your Accounts Payable Department (or someone in it). When you get to the page that asks for your credit card number, stop. Copy and paste the order information from that page into an HTML-formatted e-mail. Enter your PO number above the order information. Send the e-mail to sales@mindconnection.com, with a subject line that makes sense to you.
If you already have a PO saved as a PDF, you can just e-mail that. We ship once AP acknowledges they have the invoice. We can insert a "Pay After" date if your system uses a paper PO as a process flag for payment.

Terms. Our terms are Net 20, with the discount provided in the regular price. If you need more time, the rates below apply. Don't consider mailing time in your calculations. If you process a check within 20 days after we send you the invoice, then no financing fee applies (your order will have long since arrived). Otherwise, please adjust the payment amount as follows:
